Here!!(blah, blah, blah) Well life as a solo artist is quite different to being a band member, more freedom, more drama's, more in-decision, more work required, no one to lean on when it all gets a bit much!
So welcome to the Stewart Guthrie solo web site, an experiment in the making, 'solo stew' is not the way I imagined things but we all imagine things differently to the actual events, don't we! And I am a prime example of that, for better or worse here we go. I am intending to record a new CD soon, a bunch of new tunes that are 'relaxed' and fun, alot more instruments and sounds involved, more attention to the little things that make a song work. I have a pre-production acoustic version available for your criticism (click), go on tell me what you reckon, it's trash, it's great, it's some what lacking, dish it up, I can take it. (well most of the time anyway).
Playing with 180knots is still an important part of my Monday routine, we rehearse at Reece's shed, (which is the second best thing to ice cream on a hot day), and we are planning new shows etc for Summer and beyond.
The most important thing is that life is about having a good time, fun and enjoyment is high on the list of priorities and this comes through in the music and especially at live shows. Maybe we will see you there one day.

for those surfers (waves not internet) you may have heard of
Bells Beach, well that is effectively our back yard. (Jealous yet!)
